Privacy Policy
Green Touch is built to serve your business, not to collect your data.
Effective Date: June 1, 2026About This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Green Touch ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Green Touch mobile application ("the App") for iOS and iPad. Green Touch is a lawn care business management tool.
Green Touch offers two distinct types of plans with fundamentally different data practices. Please read the section that applies to your plan.
Solo Plan — We Collect Nothing
The Solo plan is entirely on-device. All information you enter into the App — client names, addresses, job history, invoices, notes — is stored exclusively on your iPhone or iPad using iOS on-device storage.
We do not collect, transmit, access, or store any of your data. No information ever leaves your device. There is no Green Touch account, no login, and no password associated with the Solo plan.
Your data is protected by your device's own security, which is managed entirely by Apple. We have no access to it under any circumstances.
The only system interaction on the Solo plan is a local push notification delivered by iOS at 9am if you have overdue invoices. This notification is generated entirely on your device by iOS and does not involve any data being sent to us or any external server.
If you delete the App or use the Reset option in Settings, all your data is permanently removed from your device. We have no copy of it.
Crew, Pro, and Business Plans — What We Collect and Why
When you upgrade to a Crew, Pro, or Business plan, you create a Green Touch account. These plans require cloud sync to support multiple users and multiple devices. The following information is transmitted to and stored on our secure servers solely to operate your account.
Your email address and a password you choose. Your password is hashed using bcrypt before being stored on our server. We never store your password in plain text and cannot read it. It cannot be recovered — only reset via a magic link sent to your email.
Your business name and contact details, client names and addresses, mowing schedules and service history, job notes, invoice amounts and payment status, and payment link references you configure (Stripe, PayPal, or Venmo links). This information is stored on our servers solely to sync it across your devices and users.
On plans that include GPS job timing, the App requests access to your device's location while actively timing a job. Location is used solely to detect arrival at and departure from a client's property within a 100-foot radius. Location data is stored only as arrival and departure timestamps tied to a specific job record. Location is never tracked in the background beyond active job timing. You can disable location access at any time in your iPhone Settings, and the App will fall back to manual time entry with a visible "Manual" badge.
We do not collect payment card information (Stripe handles billing directly under their own privacy policy). We do not collect usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or any data unrelated to operating your Green Touch account.
How We Use Your Information
This section applies to Crew, Pro, and Business plan accounts only. We use the information stored on our servers for the following purposes and no others:
- To authenticate your identity when you sign in
- To sync your business data across your devices and team members
- To display your client list, schedule, and invoices within the App
- To generate PDF invoices for delivery via email or SMS when you initiate it
- To record GPS arrival and departure timestamps for job timing
- To provide backup exports when you request them
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating your Green Touch account.
Data Security
For Crew, Pro, and Business plan accounts, your data is stored on a secure cloud database hosted on Google Cloud Run. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your business data is isolated by a unique identifier — no other Green Touch account can access your data, and our server enforces this isolation on every read and write operation.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes. The only third-party services involved in operating Green Touch are:
- Google Cloud — secure hosting of cloud sync data for Crew, Pro, and Business plans
- Stripe — subscription billing for paid plans. Stripe operates under its own privacy policy. We do not store or handle your payment card details.
We may disclose information if required by law, but we will not do so beyond what is legally required.
Your Client's Information
Green Touch stores information about your clients — names, addresses, contact details — that you enter directly for the purpose of managing your own business. We do not contact your clients, market to them, or use their information for any purpose beyond displaying it within your account. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permission to manage your clients' information in accordance with the laws applicable to your business.
Data Export and Deletion
Solo plan: All data is on your device. Delete the App or use the Reset option in Settings to remove it permanently.
Crew, Pro, and Business plans: You can export all your data at any time using the built-in backup feature, which generates JSON and CSV files you can open in any spreadsheet application. To delete your account and all associated data from our servers, contact us via the link below.
Children's Privacy
Green Touch is a business management tool intended for adults operating lawn care businesses. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a paid plan account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
